Overview
Germany is a country of contrasts. On the one hand, there's urbanization, extremely dense transport routes, industry, and intensive agriculture. But for a few years now, there's also been wilderness here – with unfettered natural development. Emerging from industrial wastelands or abandoned military training areas. And in the midst of it all, there's even a large predator, feared by some: the wolf. The documentary delves deep into this new wilderness, from which many animals benefit. Species like the crane and the wolf, for example. The documentary repeatedly encounters both and observes their family life, their everyday lives, and their encounters with other animals.
