Overview
The Cabinet wants to make significant cuts in care for the uninsured, while the number is increasing. Many uninsured people are migrant workers without work and housing, undocumented migrants, or Dutch people who have become homeless. Who will help them in the event of illness or an accident? Medical care is a basic right, even without insurance. Street doctor Michelle van Tongerloo is committed to providing help to this vulnerable group from the Pauluskerk in Rotterdam. Zembla investigates whether uninsured people receive the care they are entitled to or whether they are denied access to hospitals.
