Overview
Carol Lynley plays a deaf woman who teaches at a school for the deaf. Peter Falk also plays a deaf character who is smitten with her, and misinterprets her kindness toward him as affection. Falk is unable to communicate with her and is completely helpless and frustrated by the hearing world. This frustration eventually erupts into an act of violence that shatters everyone's lives.
