CARL is on sick leave after JASON beats him. Therefore, YUEN has to cancel her holidays for the preparation of examination, and reports duty immediately. Despite the pain, CARL still protects JASON and hides the truth, when GI visits him. On the other hand, TAK and MIMI come back after the business trip, they are brought to the police station upon their arrival. Having discussed with MIMI, CARL knows that JASON is lying, CARL feels heartbroken. Meanwhile, the police officers believe that CARL still has contact with JASON, hence, request CARL to provide another testimony. However, the tendency to protect his son makes CARL hardly to provide a true testimony. Because of the investigation, CARL is unable to resume duty; nevertheless, his negotiation with YUEN has turned to be a quarrel.
